Aloha....

In just a few short weeks, our dear oldest twin will soar over the Pacific waters via Hawaiian Airlines back to the "motherland," as she says. We shall say "aloha" at her arrival and then a bittersweet "aloha" at her departure because the same word has two meanings. We can also say, "muhalo," which means family. Hoorah! Our little adopted Hawaiian, obnoxiously loud muumuu and all!

haha! ALOOOHA! i was listening to this guy speak and throughout his speech he would breakdown common hawaiian words that we use in everyday language...thought you might be interested:

alo - "share" or "presence"
ha - "breath of life"
"to share the breath of life"

mahalo- "may you be in divine breath" (thank you)

o- "solid foundation"
oha- "young of shoots (plants) or keiki (kids)"
hana- work, care, tend, protect
ha - the giving breath, essence of life, divine spirit in the family"
OHANA!

okay then, aloha! :)
